Martial Arts Quicksand!

            I have been consulting now with for over seven years.  Week after week, month after month I have been hammering home the ideas that I live by everyday.  To say that I walk the walk and talk the talk would be an understatement.  The simple fact is that I started with no students and have made my way through trial and error to grow my schools to 1200 students internationally.  I have taught 10’s of thousands of students and now I have been consulting with hundreds maybe even thousands through my weekly emails, monthly conference calls and also my free section on my www.takingittothenextlevel.com site which receives around 10,000 hits per week and has many members on my premium section.    Here check out this testimonial one of our member solutions clients and www.takingittothenextlevel.com members had to say.

After trying the Taking it to the next level program 8 months ago not only did I double my student count but I was also able to systemize the way I run my school.  The program helps me step by step and is so easy to use.  Not only is my blood pressure and stress level a fraction of what it was before but I am much happier knowing I have a better grip on the way my school is running.  Due to Kyoshi Allie providing me with his knowledge on how to run my school my effectively I now have more free time to spend with my family.  Thank you Renshi Allie for all your help.

Anthony Quatrochi - Anthony Quatrochi's Martial Arts Institute

On a side note Anthony has been a client now for almost three years and now has two locations and is thinking of opening another.

Now flip the side of the coin and listen to this from one of our other clients.

Good morning Allie,

In a nutshell, the reason I am canceling my next level subscription is that at this point I am at "information overload." Through the years of us owning a dojo (mid-70's) to learning to run it as a business (1994), we have accumulated much wonderful & helpful information. Much of that information has not been put to use... may not have applied to our situation at the time, didn't like the idea, couldn't apply everything...whatever the excuse is, I still have a lot of untouched resources that I need to make use of. To keep adding to my "library" when so much is still untouched doesn't make good sense (or cents!) to me. From business leaders such as Michael Gerber, Jay Abrams,  Napoleon Hill, motivational gurus like Tony Robbins, or Zig Ziglar, to a wide variety of  spiritual leaders, our personal library has it. Then there are the martial arts specific information packs that I have received through the years from IMAMS, NAPMA, & MAIA. Lots of stuff, all very good, great tools, but time to re-evaluate, review what I already have and see what of the "old" information can be my new information.

Thank you again for your service,

So in essence what makes people like Pat of Renzo Gracie Academy in Ottawa Canada triple his gross in 14 months and get to the point of opening a second school, and almost 1000 students, when others don’t recognize the essence of what is available or feel like they are in information overload. Why is it that some will get results as high as 40% growth in four months while others won’t see anything?

Here is a story for you.  Most recently I had a conversation with one of my staff members. He is one my former school owners and in essence failed at making his school successful. I feel responsible for a portion of what happened, but the tools were there and the systems sound and workable.  Remember what Anthony Quatrochi said.  Why is that some are able to make it work while others can’t?

I want to say, some are not capable, or not intelligent enough, or it is just not in their personal makeup and I realize that some people are not made to be self employed while others are. The sad reality is that a majority of the people can’t make it work but what is really truly missing is drife and the undying thirst and desire to make it work. The question is, which one are you.

What is information overload to some, may not be to me……. What I believe to be easy to some is a nightmare for others.  When my daughter was 6 and one half year olds she spelled it our for me.  I made her dinner, her favorite – Pastina in veggie broth….. we are both vegetarians.   I tasted the food and it was cool enough for me to eat. So I said it is fine.  She looked at me and said, it may be fine for you mouth but maybe not for my little mouth.  What a lesson.   What I think is easy, may simply be because I have built bigger business muscles then you.  What Pat and Anthony have built up maybe more then some of you at this point but it is not out of reach.

The question is are you willing to stop and put aside the reasons and get down to being all you can be an army of one and build your empire.

Now getting back to my conversation with my student and former school manager, basically he expressed to me he felt like he was underperforming for many reasons, some had to do with laziness others had to do with not following the systems. Some things we have under our control, others we don’t.  We can make it work and do like Anthony said, work the systems and get more time with his family. Imagine that, working smarter, not harder.  Alas…….. the reason why I do what I do.

I know it is silly, but I want to help.  I want to make your life easier.  I have to admit, my goal is a bit selfish.  Whether you teach Ninjutsu, Ju Jutsu or another art,  I want to help the world by helping you teach the martial arts while recognizing a better life through running a more successful, professional school.

My newest ad is going to read. I know it sounds like a sales line, but I really want to help.  So why not take advantage of it.  If you don’t then what can I say?  The balls in your court.

I heard a great quote;

“The only difference between a commercial school and a non commercial school is one is run professionally and the other isn’t.”

If your still not convinced I can help, email me and I will answer as many questions you ask and give you my honest opinion.  Email me at Renshilininja@aol.com.  Remember if you are too busy then I can’t help.  Or if you want to set up a one on one call and pick my brain just email me some good times that you have available.
